Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. It seems your child has Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), but we should exclude Lupus,Leukemia, hereditary anemias, mononucleosis. Because splenomegaly is due to another underlying illness, treatment will depend upon the primary cause. In some situations, removal of the spleen (splenectomy) may be part of the treatment. Splenectomy limits the number of red blood cells destroyed and helps treat the disease. Also your child should follow hypoallergenic diet, you can discuss his treatment with haematologist.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you and your son good health
