Suggest Treatment For Fever And Massive Headaches

Good Afternoon. My husband is going on 5 full days with a fever and massive headaches originating from the back of the head. The thermometer read 102.5 Monday night, so ibuprofen and a bath got it down. Then he awoke 4 hours later in a sweaty puddle in the bed. It s been over 100 for 4 days averaging 101. Headaches constant. Body aches intense. We visited doctor Wednesday, 28 hours ago. He was urine tested an blood was drawn. Found bilirubin in urine. Meningitis was also questioned. He was given an antibacterial shot and amoxicillin prescription. My husband is starting to have confusion and no appetite/ food tastes funny.

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that high fever itself is a cause of headaches. It’s recommended for you to consult a physician personally for proper physical examination and diagnostic evaluation and treatment.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
