Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My dad started taking Nitrofurantion mono mac. He has taken 3 doses so far. He has nausea and is running a 101 fever. He has not eaten much today. I think he should quit taking and see if he bounces back and maybe try to take it again in a few days. He had his flu shot on Saturday. Started taking this on Tuesday?

* Quitting antibiotic will raise the issue of fever again, rather than I would suggest to
- Add a proton pump inhibitor as Omeprazole or else to be taken on empty stomach with sips of water.
- Take tab. Paracetamol 3 times a day after meals.
