Suggest Treatment For Fever And Pus Pocket In Throat

My niece is sick. She has had a fever for 5 days. She was taken to emergency on thursday and they found nothing wrong with her. It seems to be worse. She has almost brown boogers, sometimes laced with blood. she has a cough that gets worse at night. red eyes. and looks like possible puss pockets in the back of the throat. any help?

Hello,

Pus pocket in throat is suggesting bacterial infection of the throat, most probably due to strep. She needs to run strep test. If positive, should start antibiotic treatment. Otherwise, all her signs of common viral infection. Keep well hydrated (take hot tea, water, juice). Take more rest. Gargle with warm water and salt. Give paracetamol to relieve pain.
