Suggest Treatment For Fever And Sticky Stools In A Child
Hi,My name is Laxmi Mallobha and my baby name is Samiksha,10months old.
From Friday evening she is sick with high temperature of 101-102F for 2 days.We visited doctor and they said there is no infection but will keep under observation of her spit test.
Today her temperature came down but from morning 7:30am her bowl movement is different than normal,her stool is green and yellow color with light yellow lumps in it and sticky sticky.......I am very much worried about her...Can anyone please suggest me the solution .......

It seems your kid is having acute watery diarrhea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
Unless there is blood in the motion there is no need for antibiotics or cultures. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhoea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS. For vomiting you can use Syrup Ondansetron 0.15mg/kg/dose thrice a day, 30minutes before feeds.
