Suggest Treatment For Fever And Vomiting In A Child
My 8 year old daughter has been sick since Tuesday night last week. She started with 2 days of vomiting and complained of stomach pains then appeared to be better on Friday just a bit tired. Saturday she felt better in the morning so went to tennis where she became dizzy and started to feel nausia again but didn t actually vomit. She hasn t wanted to eat much at all and has been weak lethargic and dizzy. Has been sleeping or lyeing on lounge since Saturday. She has had a bit of fever but not extreme.
If there is no other symptoms like loose stools, frequent urge to urinate or pain on urination, we need not worry. This might be a viral illness.
Let her take rest for 3 days, drink plenty of fluids and have a soft diet. Give Paracetamol for fever, and avoid spicy food. She will be alright in 3 days.
If fever continue beyond 3-4 days, or she develops fresh symptoms, we can evaluate further.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
