Suggest Treatment For Fever In A Child

Hi, my son has got fever from three days. He is one year old, weight 10Kgs. We have been giving crocin 120 mg, 6ml after six hours. Today, we gave him Meftal -P 6 ml twice a day. The fever seems in control around 100 F, should we continue with Crocin 6 hourly or Meftal-P twice a day or give both alternatively after 6/8 hours? Also, what is correct dose for a one year old baby?

Hello,

I would prefer to give him Paracetamol if fever is below 38°C.
You can give meftal if fever is over 38°C.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
