Suggest Treatment For Fibromyalgia In An Elderly Person

I am a 69 yr old female. I am wondering if I should get the Shingles vaccine. I am allergic to penicillin and in fair health. I do have fibromyalgia and have a tendency to get infections especially on my eyelids, 6 last year with antibodics prescribed. Have COPD, asthma. Diverticulosis, bradycardia, TIA Sept 2016, I am prone to lung infections and pneumonia. I get infections and sick very easily. My husband is into 6 weeks of getting over Shingles and was in terrible pain. All my Drs seem to think I should get the injection, but neither one knows my complete history because I see several specialists.

Hello,
I would recommend that you get the shingles vaccine. With all your other problems it is the last thing you want to get to add onto your suffering. All of us who are old enough (me too) to have had chicken pox as a child can get shingles. I will also say to you that you really need a good primary care doctor that can get to know all of your problems and coordinate your care.
Regards
