Suggest Treatment For Flu, Congestion And Cough

Just got over that awful flu a couple weeks ago. Haven t really felt 100% since. Still have some congestion and cough. About 5 days ago I started having these weird symptoms. Sensitivity on the top right side of my scalp, swollen gland on the right side, and a fullness and mild pain in my right ear. I am not on any medications, just vitamins and herbs. I don t have diabetes or any other health problems that I am aware of.

Hello,

As per your query, you have symptoms of flu, congestion and cough which are pointing towards upper respiratory tract infection leading to common cold and it could be due to infection in sinuses and pressure imbalance in Eustachian tube.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take steam inhalation along with vaporizers and consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order test like throat swab test, high and low pitched ringing test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis and rule out causes.

Doctor may prescribe anti-bacterial amoxicillin or antiviral acyclovir depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestants. Avoid hot, sharp, spicy food. For now start doing gargles and drink one spoon of honey mix with glass of lukewarm water.
