MY UROLOGIST HAS TAKEN A WAIT AND SEE ATTITUDE WITH MY HYDROCELE CONDITION. I VE HAD SONOGRAMS AND ALL LOOKS OK EXCEPT FOR THE FLUID IN THE SCROTUM. IT S BEEN ABOUT A YEAR SINCE THE FLUID STARTED TO BUILD UP. SHOULD I SEE ANOTHER DR.? MY DR. SAYS SOMETIMES IT GOES AWAY BY ITSELF. AND IT MIGHT REQUIRE SURGERY.
Hello and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, i can understand your anxiety. The scan is diagnostic, along with the local examination. Hydrocele will not disappear with any medicines. Surgery is the only option for it's treatment. But,if it's not large sized and not bothersome, there's no urgency at all. If you've any other doubts, you may send the reports, as a direct question. Wish you good health. Dr.Matthew J. Mangat.
