Suggest Treatment For Foul Smelling And Wet Anus

For 33 years now i've experienced the most foul and wetty anus ever! The stench was so intense that i simply could not pursue my bachelors degree effectively! Because of the shame i suffered in many occassions I couln't muster the courage even of seeking medical help. What can I do now? From Kenya, East Africa

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Fouls smell with wet anus can be really embarrassing, I can understand the situation you are in.
You should have consulted the Doctor, preferably a General Surgeon for clinical examination, per-rectal digital examination and ano-proctoscopy along with colonoscopy.
The commonest reason is local dermatitis usually caused due to an attack of an intestinal infection or procto-colitis which should have been treated in the first place.
The harboring of saprophytic bacteria added on by wetting due to accumulated sweat and/or discharge form the anus cause the situation you are in.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get a clinical evaluation as advised above.
Get a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole with probiotics.
Sitz bath in a tub with plain warm water and cleaning the area with cotton wool followed by making it dry by hair dryer and then applying liquid Povidone Iodine locally and let it dry.
This will definitely help to improve the consition.
Get the blood and stool tests and get additional treatment as required.,
Take multivitamins as anti-oxidants.
Avoid all the foods and beverages which you instigate the problems or enhance the discharge or smell.
Avoid hot and humid air.
