Suggest Treatment For Frequent Bowel Movements

I am a 34 y.o. female. had a mva may 18th. within 1 week, myotomal weakness to the gastrocs, and partially the hamstrings, peroneals, glut medius. MRI june 8th showed sequestration at L5/S1 with a disc fragment compressing right S1 nerve root. I am awaiting sugical consult. Initally no change in B/B habits, but in last 2 days I have had 8 bowel movements (I can control, but they are loose). No bladder change. No saddle paresthesia, but there is perineal pain and intermittant tingling. Doesn t quite sound like CES, but the loose bowel has me concerned. I am on Tylenol 3, which usually cause constipation, not the reverse. SHould I go to ER?

Hello Dear

Warm welcome to HealthcareMagic
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .
* There seems intestine infection with secondary systemic manifestations
* Primary guidelines for better outcome in frequency of stools
* Consume plenty of liquids in form of boiled water , lemon juice , coconut water , home made juices , organic tea , coffee , butter milk etc , prefer soft , light , bland , vegan diet with fresh curd preferably .
Avoid all types of oily , spicy , non veg , hot beverages , junk foods , dairy fat , milk , aerated drinks till recovery .
Intake of PPI ( as Omeprazole ) , antibiotics ( with Metronidazole on pack ) Probiotics as lactobacillus help faster recovery , which
requires prescription with your doctor .

Hope this clears your doubt
Wishing you fine recovery .
Welcome for any further assistance .

take Care
