Hi,
With such a history I would advise you the following:
- First of all, get stool tests done for 3 consecutive days
- Tests of blood for
thyroid as thyroid hyper function can lead to
diarrhea, liver and
pancreas functions
- CT scan of abdomen as MRI is not much helpful in abdominal cases
- Identify the foods and beverages that are instigating or enhancing the symptoms and stop these altogether
- Get treated for any general disease
If all the tests are normal then this may be IBS that is
irritable bowel syndrome and control of stress and anxiety by your own ways or by medicines may help you a lot
-
Tropical sprue, SIBO that is: Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is a serious condition affecting the small intestine; it occurs when bacteria that normally grow in other parts of the gut start growing in the small intestine, that causes pain and diarrhea
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
