Suggest Treatment For Frequent Ear Infections In Kid

hello my son is 7 years old and he has a history of Chronic Ear Infections especially when he was younger. Well his ears was draining something last night because there is stuff all over the outer of his ear and looks like there was some stuff on his pillow, so i took a q-tip and cleaned out his ears and there was like orangeish brownish chunk. He says his ears don't hurt but ever since he was little and had infections or anything, never had a fever or ears never hurt. he had an infection about a month ago and got omaxicillin for it. could there be something very wrong with him?
