Suggest Treatment For Frequent Insomnia

Hello, I seen a psychiatrist for the first time in January, I sought out help for constantly picking my face and for frequent insomnia (which was also due to the constant hours I was up in the mirror with a tweezer all night. I explained it was starting to affect my marriage, our sex life (I am never in bed as the same time as my husband he is a baker and leaves everyday at 3:45 am for the past 12 years) the psychiatrist wanted to put me on anti depressants (celexa) and a mild sleeping pill I did not the way the antidepressant made me feel but she was persistent. The 5mg ambien made me slightly drowsy but not enough to resist my urge to pick at my face. After I asked her if we could try a slightly stronger sleeping pill and maybe stop the anti depressant she was kind of hostile because I was as she put it diagnosing myself I stopped going entirely and tried to deal with it in my own-and since then I have gotten shingles and now I have plaque psoriasis on my face! I need help

Psychiatrist 's  Response
you should not have stopped taking medicine rather you could have changed your doctor.it looks like you have some obsessions to pick your face.antidepressants have many actions they are not only antidepressants they work as anti anxiety also.there are many drugs available that can be prescribed after having baseline investigations done.so please consult a psychiatrist for the same.
