Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination And Hydronephrosis

Sir,i am from bangladesh.chief complaints: frequency of micuration,hydronephrosis,stents in urinary bladder with infection in urine. History of post ca cervix by chemo&radiotherapy(control now) weight.....40 kg. Hb....9gm/dl.height...5 feet 6 inch. Sir please.it is cureable or not.what can i do?please help me please sir.my name is dr matin mbbs(intern) contact no...+0000 or +0000 PLEASE SIR SAVE MY MOTHER

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your mother has Ca cervix and hydronephrosis detected on Ultrasound Scanning .

Hydronephrosis is due to infiltration ureteric orifices and bladder wall which suggest advanced Ca cervix.

The urinary frequency that she has is due to UTI secondary to stents in bladder.

Please get her routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please give her broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
