About 3 hours ago I had a sharp gas pain on right side, under my rib cage. It can with lots of burping. It s still happening. I tried tums & pepto, it s not working. Any idea as to the cause or if I should try anything in particular to make it stop? I want to sleep! Thanks

Dear- thanks for using our service. Gas can give you severe pain and burping. However, we need to consider gallbladder problems as gallstone too. If Peptobismol does not help, you might try to control diet with no spicy food, soda or any irritants. You can try over the counter anti-acids as Ranitidine,Cimetidine and omeprazole , If it does not get better in 48-72hrs, then call your primary care doctor for an evaluation and workup.
I hope my advise has been helpful
