Suggest Treatment For Glute And Groin Pain Caused By An Injury

I fell on my bicycle with my shoes clipped into the pedals. I was xrayed and my hip was thankfully not broken. What has remained now, for 2 weeks, is twinging in my glute and groin and an achiness in the glute that gets worse when laying in bed. It is slowly getting better; however, one move and I can imflame the situation once again. ... any advice?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As you didn't have a fracture that's all great to hear about.

For the pain in the gluteus and groin, I feel you have a ligament sprain. Need some simple hip muscle strengthening exercises along with adductors strengthening exercises. This will help the hip joint being stable in the socket and avoid any strain over the ligament.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
