Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The description you have given suggestive of intestinal obstruction. Which can be due to obstruction of her bowel any where from small intestine to rectum. Get a CT scan of her abdomen to look for any tumors or fecal impaction. If symptoms doesn’t improve with laxatives or enema, she might require surgery. If general conditions are not good for extensive surgery we might go for minimal procedure like colostomy first and will do definitive procedure later. Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
