Hello,Driving a forklift is apart of my job and around 9am this morning I went to get on it and as I pulled myself up really fast I smashed the top of my head to the right hand side, I did not pass out or anything but I felt a coldness on my head and thought it was cut open but it wasn t and about 15 minutes later I kept muddling up my words, felt sickly and I developed a mild headache (which is still there slightly).I do not feel drowsy or anything, shall I get this checked out? Kind Regards,Amy

Dear Amy,

As per the case history and symptomatology mentioned in your post, you had disturbance in speech about 15 min post injury, in addition to feeling sickly and mild headache.
This can be attributed to the impact as well as accumulation of fluid & blood.
Under such circumstances, it will be better to consult your Doctor.
A proper clinical+ radiological evaluation will be needed to rule out any pathological cause for symptoms.

Till that time, symptomatic relief is obtained by analgesics preparations (like paracetamol), ice compression & adequate rest.

Maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status.
There is no need to worry, you will be fine.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
