Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding And Severe Abdominal Cramps

I have been having trouble with my cycle. I go very heavy and it lasts up to 10 days the past couple of months. My doctor put me on the pill this month and told me to start it on the sunday after I start my period. I havent felt well. I have terrible cramps which almost feels like labor pain at times. I started on friday and took my pill the following sunday. Then my period just stopped. Is it supposed to do that?

Hello.
According to your complain you've Dysmenorrhea.
This needs to get investigated in detail.
Initially You should have Anti-spasmodic for acute attacks of crams.
Afterwards Hemostatics can control if you got heavy menses.
once you get better, Oc-pills can control both of your complains by regular dosing of pill.
the Pills you've to start from 2nd to 5th day of menses and should continue for 21 days.
this medication you need to continue for 3 consecutive months to regulate your cycle.
if still persistent of problem get ultrasonically done to evaluate some organic cause.
and consult nearer Gynecologist.
Thank you.
