Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

For the past couple of months iv not been coming off my period, it will range from lightly spotting to heavy then just continue...... Then I ll stop for one or two days then come back on? :( I m only 17 and it s making me so upset because literally I ll start crying and I won t even know why:( I also went to my doctors about a month ago and she gave me a course of Norethisterone but these haven t done anything...... Please help I m so worried! Yours sincerely Daisy-May.

Hi,

As a first line management, you can take Tranexamic acid tablets to control bleeding. If symptoms persist, better to consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.

You might require an ultrasound scan for further evaluation.
