Suggest Treatment For Heavy Periods Along With Foul Menstrual Odor

I have to wear a tampon to block all of the discharge I have. Not only is it annoying to always be wet down there but it smells HORRIBLE. I can smell it through my clothes. It s embarrassing. Those are my only symptoms so I was wondering if it could be an infection?

Hello,
To know the exact cause, you should get a vaginal and cervical swab first after consulting a gynecologist. Urinalysis and blood counts are also needed. Also, please stop wearing a tampon and start using a pad instead. This is because persistent tampon use can also lead to further infection. Please do not douche or use strong soap solutions. You can use diluted antiseptic solutions to clean the soft parts. Please abstain until your symptoms are cleared and also check if your partner needs treatment too. Hope this helps.
