Suggest Treatment For Hemorrhoid And Constipation

ok, so I have a hemorrhoid (unsure if its considered an external or internal) but its been there for roughly two months. It was the result of a period of constipation, and I have been treating it with preparation H and changed my diet to include more fibre. I no longer have constipation and I am fairly regular but the hemorrhoid persists and can be quite painful. Should I continue what I have been doing? is there more I can be doing? should I see a doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Constipation is common in people who do not have adequate diet rich in fibre. Having food rich in fibres, like green leafy vegetables will reduce the constipation and ease in passing stools. if you are having trouble due to haemorrhoids , then you have the option of consulting a surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
