SIR MY SON EIGHTEEN MONTHS OLD IS SUFFERING FROM SEVERE LRTI AND HEPATOMEGALY FOR PAST ONE WEEK...HE IS ON SYRUP.AMOXYCLAV FOR SIX DAYS..DOES HEPATOMEGALY OCCUR IN LRTI?DOES IT WILL RESOLVE SPONTANEOUSLY..HOW LONG TO CONTINUE ANTIBIOTIC..FEVER HAS SUBSIDED NOW..SEVERE COUGH AND WHEEZE AND LOCALIZED CREPS ARE THERE...

Liver is normally palpable in infants.
LRTI does not cause hepatomegaly.
Consult pediatrician and treat LRTI.
