Suggest Treatment For High BP And Cholesterol Levels

I am 54, in good health, with high blood pressure and high cholesterol, both medically maintained. Just started today, when I urinate, the urethral opening begins to burn and the urethral opening starts to swell. A few minutes after the process, the swelling subsides and the burning goes away. Never happened before. Should I see the doctor?

I read your query and I understand your concern.

First of all the urinary symptoms you are experiencing are not related neither to high blood pressure nor to high cholesterol so nothing has to change in their treatment since they are well controlled.
Regarding these symptoms I think you should see a doctor because it can be a sign of a bladder infection. If you have no other signs it shouldn't be anything serious and can easily be treated with antibiotics, but before it has to be confirmed by exam and urine analysis.
