Dear Doctor, My Father in law has been havin repeated UTI infections, a few weeks ago we showed him to Doctor sanjay pandey at ambani hospital in mumbai where they removed his prostrate, but he had a relapse only 2 days after discharge, he was admitted for 15 days with 3 tanzact injections a day, but a routine urine done on 16th after his dicharge on 13th March is showing 150-200 pus cells, he is right now on oral antibiotic niftran 50 mg twice a day, can you please advice what i should do now ? should we put him on injectibles at home ? regards ashish
I suggest using a cycle of oral antibiotics and then repeat again the urine test.
If the infection continues, I suggest using injections such as Ceftriaxone.
I also suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
