Suggest Treatment For High Fever

Hi Dr's my son(3.5year old), he is suffering sever cold and mild cough since two days, today afternoon(2pm) suffered fever a temperature of 101.5 C, we gave Meftal-p, he got relief till 7pm, and again he got fever, kindly let us know what we have to do.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Fever is mostly viral in nature and settles in few days.
I suggest you to give acetaminophen 6 hourly if fever is above 100F.
Do tepid sponging if fever is above 102 F.
Give plenty of fluids.
In case symptoms persist get him evaluated by pediatrician.
