Welcome to HCM This is Dr Amit.In my opinion no treatments can alter the course of Huntington's disease. But medications can lessen some symptoms of movement and psychiatric disorders We can divide the treatment in two part that is medications for movement disorders and psychiatric disorders. Drugs to treat movement disorders includes 1.Tetrabenazine to suppress the involuntary jerking and writhing movements (chorea) associated with Huntington's disease. 2.Antipsychotic drugs, such as haloperidol (Haldol) and chlorpromazine, have a side effect of suppressing movements. Therefore, they may be beneficial in treating chorea Drug for Psychiatric disorders includes Antidepressants and Mood Stabilizing drugs. I will advise you to consult nearby good neurophysician and start the treatment under his guidance according to severity of condition. Feel free to ask if you have any other query Regards
