Suggest Treatment For Inflammatory Patches On Tongue After Cold
my mother is diabetic frompast 5 years, she had cough and cold for 15 days she had taken antibiotics, know from past four months she has inflamatory patches on the lining of the toungue and inner mouth lining with white patches, she has irritation when having spicy food doctors have told itis fungual infection seeing it visually .
I have gone through your query and can understand..
As per your complain white patches over the tongue along with inflammation seems to be due to fungal infection and the condition is known as Oral Thrush or Oral Candidiasis caused by Candida Albicans Fungus.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluaed and for thrush you will be advised to take anti-fungal medicines like Nystatin mouthwash, clotrimazole lozenges and taking ample of probiotics like Yoghurt and garlic.. For sore and inflamed tongue take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine, avoid spicy food, suck ice and maintain a good oral hygiene..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
