Hi, If I were your treating Doctor for this case of inguinal and
back pain, I would come up with three possibilities, these include:
1. A renal or urethral cause that needs to be checked with abdominal
ultrasound and urine laboratory test.
2. A joint cause that needs plain radiographs of cocxo- femoral joint.
3. A
peripheral nerve problem ( Meralgia parenthetica).
ESR elevation mostly correlates with inflammatory processes ( coxcoarthrosis), but may be elevated secondary to infection ( in your case probably urinary infection).
I suggest you to consult a physician and get an ultrasound and plain radiographs.
Treatment modalities should be clear after examination results. Meralgia parenthetica is treated with
Pregabalin, loose pants, loosing wheight etc. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
