Suggest Treatment For Irregular Bowel Movement With Neuropathy

sir my father whose age is 54 is suffering from sevier nueropathy...hs motion is not regular when it strts it happens for ove ana over till the medicine not given..after given medicine 2 3 days it totaly stops thn again it strts..wht should we do can u help us??

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of your Father being suffering from severe neuropathy, irregular motion till the medicines are given.
Neuropathy is usually not known to cause such a problem.
Both the problems may be unrelated to each other but most probably the cause may be the same like diabetes or so.
I would advise him the following:
First of all to get the blood tests to see for any deficiency of B-complex vitamins, Vitamin D and other tests like thyroid functions and so on.
Tests of stool for 3 consecutive days.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Medical management of the causative factors. Treatment of neuropathy with injectable b-complexes and supportive medicines like Vitamin D and multivitamins.
For the irregular bowel movements:
Take an opinion of a Gastroenterologist.
Bowel series with barium and other tests as mentioned above.
Once a proper diagnosis is done and well managed he shall get a good control over both the things.
