Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

A few causes of irregular periods are PCOD, fibroids in uterus, endometriosis, thyroid disorders, ovarian cyst, stress or obesity. Normal period duration can be as short as 21 days and as long as 35 days. So please relax as your period might be within normal duration. I advise you to consult a gynecologist for clinical evaluation in person and to rule out any of the above causes and treatments accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
