General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Avoiding the diet and treating hypoglycemia is not the cure of IBS.

The issue requires
- A balanced diet with least of fat, cholesterol
- Plenty of liquids
- GI specific antibiotics, probiotics, specific medicines as Mesacol and other supportive lines of management.
- Lifestyle changes.
- Avoidance of smoking, alcohol if consuming.
- Stress management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
