Suggest Treatment For Itchy Dry Vaginal Skin And Wound Caused By Itching

During the night I have severely scratched my vagina due to itchy dry skin. I have deep open cuts and red raw open patches on both outer sides of the labia which are very painful when urinating. I find it difficult walking and my pants are rubbing on the open wounds, restricting the healing process. What can I do to help it heal? I have been trying both Savlon Healing Gel and lots of Vaseline but I'm not sure if it is the right thing to do. My skin around the labia gets very dry and itchy, and during nights I can wake up and scratch without thinking. It is not related to sex or infections of any sort. I am healthy. It is just very dry skin that causes the problem and because the skin is very delicate in this area, my scratching causes problems and open wounds. How can I aid the healing process please?

I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely dryness and fungal infection.In such case i advise ointments with combination of antifungals like clotrimazole, steroids like betamethasone and antibiotic neomycin.It is better to avoid irritating soaps and you can use hypoallergic soaps like cetaphil or use warm water or saline for washing the area.You can use a gauze piece to put under the underwear so that the wounded part wont get irritated.Hope this may help you.
