Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have suddenly developed pain in both big toe joints (both feet). I thought it might be because of two pairs of new tight boots i wore out and about this weekend but looking at this might lead me to believe it could be gout flare up. I am overweight 64 year old female who drinks alcohol and this weekend attended some pre and post super bowl parties where alcohol Chinese food and seafood (shrimp, clams etc) we re abundant. How do I alleviate pain
It can be due to gout. Other possibilities are minor contusion that developed after trivial trauma. As of now you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
