Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am 65 yrs old have fallen 3 times in a month on right knee and hip, bruising on knee and swelling last time for awhile. it hurts especially at night in bed. and now it hurts my knee cap when i walk, should i go to the dr. what could i have done to it?
As you are 65 there will be degenerative changes in the knee joint. Any small injury occurs will lead to pain and swelling. For now, use the knee brace, take hot water fermentation, do static quadriceps and static hamstring along with ankle toe movements. Straight leg raise should also be included.
Do regular exercise for maintaining muscle strength and also improve the joint space.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
