Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain With Numbness

I m having weird pain when I kneel on my left knee. It feels like I m on a bed of needles. I am also having numbness in my vastus lateralis also on the left. I am 42 years old. I had slipped epiphis on both hips as a teenager. There are still pins in each hip. Could this be related to the hardware in my hips?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
No,it is not related to pins which were placed in your hip joint. This pain is not connected to your hip joint problem so do not think in that direction.
Most common cause of such pain is knee arthritis or synovitis. This can occur due to meniscus tear also. I would suggest you to get a xray of the knee joint. MRi would be much better but it may not possible due to metal in your hip joint.
Also avoid stairs and cross leg siting for sometime, do hot water fometaion to kne joint. if pain is bad then take Etoricoxib for pain relief.
