Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. Your
head injury seems mild as you did not loose consciousness (only slight
disorientation), no
vomiting, no
fits and you are conscious and able to write clearly. This means you and your husband need not to worry.
Still to avoid any delayed bad consequences, your husband can observe you for following red signs of severe head injury
- vomiting
- bleed through nose, ear and throat without any direct injury
- fits
- focal deficit
- persistent non relieving headache
- altered behaviour and loss of consciousness
If any of above symptoms occur, you must consult ER as soon as possible. CT head will be done to rule out any skull
bone fracture or intracranial haemorrhage. Management can be conservative if no mass effect in brain and surgical if life threatening mass effect in brain.
If no above signs in next 3 days, you need not to worry. You can stay at home. For relief, you can follow few tips
- Apply icepacks at injury site
- Avoid compression at injury site
- Take tablet
diclofenac withs
serratiopeptidase combination after prescription. It will relieve pain and swelling both
- The swelling will disappear in next 14 days.
Hope it will help you. If still no relief, do let me know.
Thanks. Take care.
