Suggest Treatment For Lack Of Clear Speech In A Child

2 1/4 year old does not talk (not clear words, just garbled). Does not respond to his own name. Will not say Momma, says "Da" for daddy. Runs around "squealling" all the time, won't sit and look at books with adults. Is very seldom around children close to his own age. Does hear all noises.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion your child may have two possibilities.
1. specific language delay
2. autism.
I would suggest you get your child assessed by a developmental paediatrician for the above conditions. I would also recommend a hearing test for him.
I hope I have helped you
Thank you
