Suggest Treatment For Left-sided Infection On Face And Tenderness Around Left Eye

I ve had an infection on the left side of my face since September. It began with a tenderness around the left eye area. I became extremely ill for a few days. A large bump appeared on my lower left gum and bled on the first night. New, smaller bumps are appearing on the lower left gumline, near the large bump. There was pus in the hole an earring goes in (left side only). A CT scan found no bony pathology. There is no outward sign of the infection in the facial area, except that when the infection gets worse, the left side of my face is puffy. I ve had two rounds of Amox, and I still have the infection. My tongue has a thick white coating down the middle, which also seems to be somewhat split.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is necessary performing a bacterial culture of the material inside the bumps and on the tongue. It could also be a fungal infection. You should discuss with your doctor on this test.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
