Suggest Treatment For Leg Pain And Visible Tendons

while exercising my left leg became extremely painfully. I had bruise on my calf and then what i thought where veins had popped up behind my knee and down my calf. Eventually i went to the doctor and she said it was not a vein they were tendons??? However this injury happened in july/august 2010, she put me on painkillers naproxen but a few weeks ago it satated hurting again. My doctor said it should heal fully but she couldn t say when. will these tendons go away completely or will they always be visible the doctors said they woul go away completely.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
