Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with a possible tear in the spring ligament on my right foot. My foot has been MRI d 3 times, but they cannot see any tears. They think it might be a micro tear. I have had cortizone, PRP, and physical therapy twice. I have had 3 different doctors say the same thing, all three says the surgery for to repair this is terrible and they don t want to do it. I have been in a walking boot for over a year. Do you have any other suggestions?
If all these conservative treatment is failed than I would recommend you to go for surgery. You need to see a sports medicine expert to plan for these surgeries. It is not good to get it done by general orthopaedic surgeon as in that condition it can cause failure.
