General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, welcome to healthcare magic forum. I understand your concern.

For 8 months old baby ,it is quit long period(3weeks) since she has been suffering from loose motion. Cause for loose motion may be infection (either bacterial or protozoal). As u told she is loosing weight also, so it is necessary to show her to a pediatrician as soon as possible for the diagnosis & treatment otherwise she may develop sever dehydration.

I usually prescribe my patients syrup-Oflox-OZ 1.5ml two times in a day for 5-7 days depending upon severity of disease along with plenty of ORS fluid .

Wish your child speedy recovery.

Thanks.
