Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

It is common for children to have loose stools after a course of antibiotic (antibiotic induced diarrhea). This is from alteration in bowel flora. If stools are not blood stained, he do not have fever, is playful and active and feeding well, there is nothing to worry. He will be fine in 3-5 days. I used to give a probiotic to hasten recovery. Your doctor might be knowing this. Meanwhile, give him frequent sips of fluids like ORS or salted rice water to avoid dehydration

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
