Suggest Treatment For Loose Motions In A Child

Hi, my 14 & half old daughter is having loose motion for last 5 days. She vomits also one or two times a day, however she is having watery yellow motion every 20-30 minutes. I am giving her antibiotic for last three days. I am giving her milk free diet, like khichadi, soup and isomilk (lactose free) and endrrugernia, Z & D drops and ondum as medicine, however there is no improvement in her condition. Suggest me.

Hi
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
Loose stools without blood is usually viral in nature.
It takes 5 to 7 days for complete improvement.
You are giving correct treatment for it.
Continue zinc and probiotics you are already giving along with ORS for hydration.
If he passes urine atleast 6 times a day, there is nothing to worry.
If it is persistent get stools tested.

You can give rice based diet with curd .

The green coloured stool will change to normal in a few days
Wishing him speedy recovery
Regards
