Suggest Treatment For Low Temperature And UTI
I have a oddly LOW temp though I am on antibiotic for UTI. The main symptom of my UTI was an itchy vulva, but my doc did a urine culture and it was positive and she determined which antibiotic it would be sensitive to. I am on 3rd day of 5 days of that antibiotic (Daptomycyin IV 400 mg each infusion) and the itchiness is much improved and I have been checking my fever. It has gone from 101 then to normal (97-98 degrees). I have been taking it today and it is 95-96 degrees. They even took it at the hospital prior to my infusion but just chalked it up to an odd reading. But it remains really quite low. Is there any significance to that?

My opinion-
IN the given situation, You seems to be having-low perfusion from side effects of the drug.
As your doctors have attended you and feel its a odd reading,you need to check with Second opinion from Consultant Physician.
Recovery from UTI with disharge of febrileness you had with UTI, could be a cause for this Odd low body temperature.
Possibility of hypothyroid and other causes need to be verified, if it bothers and worries you more.
Other causes of low body temperatue needs to be verified and ruled out, before giving any treatment.
Hope this would help you to plan further of this complex illness of yours.
