Suggest Treatment For Lump In Throat And Hearing Loss

Hi, I ve had a lump in the throat feeling for several months, and had an ultra sound which showed nodules on my thyroid, but they are too small to biopsy, now the feeling has gotten worse, even painful at times, with ear congestion and some hearing loss, should I be worried? Thanks.

Hello,

Swelling in front of the neck may be nodular goitre. It may also cause throat pain. Yet, hearing loss may not be due to goitre. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. It may be due to allergy probably. Use tablet monterleukast and levocetirizine for five days. For goitre, you have to consult your surgeon, if symptoms are heavy, you may need surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
