Suggest Treatment For Medial Shin Splints

I have severe medial shin pain especially when exercising on the treadmill at a higher speed or higher incline. The pain is constant but worse with exercise. I got XRays and it showed mild cortical thickening at the proximal medial metaphysis and the proximal tibial diaphysis. My doctor says it s a normal finding but I m worried it s worse because the pain is pretty severe. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your experience with medial shin pain during exercise with treadmill with associated mild cortical thickness on x-ray I am suggesting that you have developed a condition called osteosclerosis

In view of this please do a bone scan and see an orthopaedic specialist with the result and for further clinical evaluation as well as adequate drug prescription

Meanwhile please take some analgesic pending your appointment

I hope this helps Regards
