Suggest Treatment For Mediastinal Gastroc Tear On Calf

I recently had a mediastinal gastroc tear in my left leg calf. It got so well so quickly that I forgot it was injured. I was running with my dog about 9 days after and retore it on Monday. It is slowly recovering, but really painful. There isn t much online about it. I did see an ortho person the first time I injured it. He said there really isn t anything to be done but let it heal and use ice and heat alternately.
